Is Steady free?
Yes. The free version has up to 5 habits of every type, Apple Health, widgets, Apple Watch, Siri and Shortcuts, reminders, backup and CSV export. Steady Plus adds unlimited habits, full history and yearly insights, several reminders per habit, an evening nudge, links with Slate and TLDR Classic, and all icons and themes.
How much is Steady Plus?
$4.99 a month, $34.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, or $89.99 once for lifetime. The App Store shows the price in your currency.
Do I need an account?
No. Steady keeps your habits on your iPhone. Sign in with Apple is only needed if you want backup.
What happens if I miss a day?
For habits you do 3 or more days a week, one missed day a week is forgiven and shown as a soft dot. Skipped days, rest days and vacation mode never break a streak. If a streak does break, your best streak and total repetitions are kept, and you start again from Day 1.
When does the day end?
At 4 am. Something you do at 1 am counts for the evening before.
I forgot to tick yesterday. Can I fix it?
Yes, yesterday only, until today ends at 4 am. Older days are locked, so your history stays honest.
I'm going away. Will I lose my streaks?
No. Turn on vacation mode and everything pauses until you turn it off.
How does Apple Health work with Steady?
Link a habit to steps, workouts, mindful minutes or stand hours, and Steady ticks it when you reach your goal. Health data is read on your iPhone and never leaves it.
How do I move Steady to a new iPhone?
Turn on backup with Sign in with Apple on your old iPhone, then sign in with the same Apple ID on the new one. Your habits, history and streaks come back exactly. Without backup, your data stays on the old iPhone; you can export it as CSV first.
Can I export my data?
Yes, for free. In Steady's Settings you can export your habits, ticks and slips as CSV files.
How do I delete my data?
Without backup, delete the app: nothing is stored anywhere else. With backup, delete your account in Steady's Settings first; that removes your backup from our servers. The privacy policy has the details.
How do I cancel Steady Plus?
In your iPhone's Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Steady. You keep Plus until the end of the period you've paid for. To get Plus back on a new iPhone, use Restore purchases in Steady.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Steady is made for iPhone and Apple Watch first.
